Five Instagram Accounts You Need to 'Follow' NOW!

1) Humans of New York: @humansofny
  • Needing your daily dose of inspiration and maybe a couple of tears...then you must follow Humans of New York or HONY! Brandon Stanton, a fellow UGA Bulldawg, sets out across the city and even the world in attempt to highlight bold and brilliant stories. Learn something new, think in a different way, laugh out loud, but essentially follow HONY!!!

2) The Gay Beards: @thegaybeards

  • These two guys from Portland, Oregon popped up on my 'Discover Page' a couple of months ago and my life was changed FOREVER. These two best friends will bring you joy on a daily basis with their creative, hilarious and straight up talented "beard art". After following, you'll want to be their best friends TOO!

3) Food In The Air: @foodintheair

  • Your mouth may have already began to water by just getting a glimpse at the delicious, tasty, and scrumptious food. Food In The Air or FITA mixes stunning views & appetizing food to create one of the best Instagram accounts in the game! FITA has also started a trend for college girls EVERYWHERE (I admit, I've had my fair share attempted photos).
  • If you love FITA...be sure to check out DITA or @drinksintheair to quench your thirst ;)

4) Baddie Winkle: @baddiewinkle

  • Helen Ruth Van Winkle, better known as Baddie Winkle, as made a huge splash in the internet realm through her eccentric outfits and wild behavior. This 87 year old knows how to throw down and inspires all of us to embrace our youthful side. An account full of color, profanity, and "what is she wearing" moments is definitely worth the follow!

5) National Geographic: @natgeo
  • Become inspired through travel, culture, and beautiful sights through National Geographic's account. See the wonders of the world as you lay in your comfy, warm bed and wish you were #adventurous. But really, this account will help you appreciate and stay connected to all parts of the world
  • National Geographic Travel, @natgeotravel , is also a great follow for more spectacular views and people (as you still lay in your comfy, warm bed).

I really appreciated this blog post. After reading your suggestions, I went and followed @thegaybeards. I would love to know more about this duo and learn just how much time they spend creating these posts. What an odd talent! I also would love to befriend these two dudes.
